Thanks for stopping by!!!  My name is Jaime, and I am the founder and owner of The Cake Barn.  If someone had told me 14 years ago that one day I would own a bakery, I would have literally laughed out loud!  However, God had a plan for me that I would have never imagined for myself.  

I have always enjoyed baking and making things for my kids class room parties and for holidays, but had failed miserably in my attempts of creating birthday cakes for my children in their early years.  I was a stay at home mom of 3 for 6 wonderful years, but once my youngest two were in school I was having a hard time with my daily "empty nest" so to speak.  I prayed mightily for God to show me what his plan was for the next chapter of my life.  A few short months later, I decided to try making my oldest daughter a birthday cake (with cupcakes as a backup plan of course) and this time it was a success!  Six short months later, I opened the doors to The Cake Barn!  Crazy right?  

Believe in what you pray for, even when you're not exactly sure what you are praying for!  God has truly blessed me and my business these past 14 years with some of the most amazing clients who I now consider friends, the most supportive husband I could ever ask for, and the opportunity to build friendships with some of the most talented vendors in Central Louisiana.  The paths He has opened up for me along the way, humbles me each and every day.  Today, I could not imagine doing anything else.  I truly love my "job" and I am forever grateful that I have the opportunity to be a small part of your special occasions!
